Ordinary meeting of INDESS Council 14 February 2018
On 14 February 2018, Ordinary Council of the University Research Institute for Social Sustainable Development (INDESS) was held. Among issues discussed, some stood out, such as an analysis made by Director of the Institute – Dr. José A. López – on strengthening INDESS and positive impact that is having on research development among its members. In the same way, a report on the activities since September 2017 – date of previous Council – was commented. Furthermore, coordinators of different Commissions presented calls and actions developed, demonstrating potential that these commissions are providing for research development. Next, INDESS Secretary – Dr. Miguel A. Acosta – presented amendments for approval to INDESS Internal Regulations. Then, Deputy Director – Dr. Mercedes Jiménez – presented a report on 2017 accounts. The Director talked about another issue that was approved by the Council, which was ratification for incorporation of new researchers. Finally, he announced that an External Advisory Council will be created for this new year, new forms of collaboration have been proposed and development of new strategic lines in accordance with Master Plan will be promoted.
