Currículum

Computer Engineer from the University of Seville and Doctor from the University of Cádiz (UCA). He is currently a Associate Professor (Profesor Titular de Universidad) at the Higher School of Engineering of the UCA. It has more than a dozen articles in journals indexed in JCR, as well as articles in journals indexed in other indexes such as ESCI or SCOPUS. Presentations have been presented at more than twenty international congresses of recognized prestige, including a contribution to a “Core A” category congress, another awarded as the best contribution of the 7th International Workshop on Software Engineering for E-learning (ISELEAR’16) and the national prize “Antonio Vaquero de Informática Educativa” in 2013. He has also participated in organizing committees of five international and several national scientific congresses, and he is a regular member of the scientific committee of various international congresses in his field of research. He has participated in research projects funded by competitive calls, in both the Andalusian Plan of Excellence and the National Plan and the European Union. They also highlight various stays in international centers and participation in various research contracts as well as transfer agreements of research results with national companies.

Lecturer at the UCA for more than ten years, he has taught in core, compulsory and elective courses in the first and second pre-EHEA, official Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree Programmes, as well as Doctoral Programmes. He has participated in the management and evaluation tribunals of a large number of Dissertations, Final Degree Projects and Research Works of the Doctoral Training Itinerary, including the co-direction of a doctoral thesis. Emphasizes the participation in Pilot Experiences of Implementation of the European Space of Education and the maximum qualification (Excellent) in the official program of evaluation of the teaching activity of the teaching staff of the UCA -DOCENTIA- in the last period evaluated. He has participated in Innovation and Teacher Improvement Projects since 2005, receiving a dozen awards for them. The results of these projects have been regularly presented in reference congresses on national and international teaching innovation. It has more than 500 hours of teacher training: including the I Expert Level “Specialization in Secondary Education” (equivalent to the C.A.P.) and more than twenty courses of the training offered by the UCA. This training is complemented by various international teaching stays. He also regularly participates as a speaker in seminars and teacher in training courses for university lecturers.

Other activities include participation in the Advisory Committee of the Governing Board of the Professional College of Computer Engineers of Andalusia (CPIIA) from 2014 to date, three first prizes in the contest of ideas atrÉBT! Human of the OTRI of the UCA, four years as Member of the Board of Directors of Wikimedia Spain and the performance of academic positions in the UCA: four years in the Free Software Office of the University of Cádiz (two years as Secretary and two others as Director), as well as another four years in the position of Coordinator of the Degree in Computer Engineering of the University of Cádiz. He is a member of the SPI&FM: Software Process Improvement and Formal Methods research group (TIC195).
